brenda perrinPosition on the Board:  Board Member
Company: Holiday Inn Express & Suites

Brenda Perrin is the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Fredericton, NB.  With over 20 years of progressive growth and experience in the hospitality industry, she has built proactive, empowered teams with a focus on exceptional guest experiences by being a hands-on leader.

Brenda worked her way through almost every role at Country Inn & Suites by Carlson during her time at St. Thomas University, earning a promotion to General Manager at the Dartmouth location within 6 years of starting her career in hospitality.  During her 12 years at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Dartmouth/Halifax (which later became Travelodge Suites), many accolades were garnered by her team of hospitality professionals, the highlights being General Manager of the Year and the Carlson President’s Award…twice.

After a brief transfer to Travelodge Suites in Saint John, she accepted an opportunity back home in Fredericton as General Manager of the Lakeview Inn & Suites.  Newly purchased by DP Murphy Hotels & Resorts, renovations were under way for conversion to Holiday Inn Express & Suites.   Since the brand conversion, her team has earned and maintained the top spot among Fredericton hotels on Tripadvisor.com, as well as being in the top 3 hotels in the province on that site.  In addition, theirs is consistently among the top 5% of all Holiday Inn Express locations in The Americas, and is #1 in Canada for overall guest satisfaction.

Brenda was recently honoured with the Leadership Award for Women & Business Network Fredericton.  She has become the Membership Director for Skål New Brunswick International, is involved with the Finance Committee for TIANB, and is happy to now be joining the board of directors for the Chamber of Commerce.  She is excited to work with local businesses and tourism partners to build the profile of the city and province she is once again happy to call home, striving to be a strong member of the business community and effecting positive economic impact by creating memorable experiences for our visitors.
