CHAMBER AWARDS

The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce has been the proud recipient of the President’s Award (over 200 members) of the Atlantic Provinces Chamber of Commerce for the years 1995, 1997, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. This award recognizes outstanding leadership and successful business advocacy efforts in the true spirit of chamber collaboration.

Past Chief Executive Officer Anthony Knight was named Executive of the Year (under 100,000 population category) for 2008. This award was presented by the Canadian Chamber Executives of Canada.

The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce also received the Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance Plan Award in May 2004, in recognition of a 24 percent increase in number of participating firms and an increase of 75 in chamber membership.

Past General Manager Weldon LeBlanc received the General Manager of the Year Award in 1999 and 2003. This award was presented by the Canadian Chamber Executives of Canada.

Past Presidents Les Smith and Marjorie Tomlinson were recipients of the Harvey Webber Award. This award is presented to an individual who has made a unique contribution to his or her community chamber, thereby enhancing the Chamber of Commerce movement in his or her province and in the region.
