NETWORKING

Networking is important to every business, whether you're trying to sell a product or service or to establish your company name in the business community. Over half of Chamber members say they joined the Chamber to take advantage of networking opportunities. For this reason, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce offers numerous networking functions every year! Click here for a list of Upcoming Events

Business After Hours Program - Held monthly from September through June. A Chamber member hosts a Business After Hours (first Thursday of each month - 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm) at his or her business location. Chamber members are encouraged to attend and network with their fellow members and make some of those very valuable contacts.

Annual Events - The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce hosts more than 50 events per year. Whenever possible, a networking component is built into these events. Some of the major annual events are preceded by a one-hour networking reception. These events include the State of the Province Address, Distinguished Citizens Awards Banquet, Annual Banquet, State of the City Address, Business Excellence Awards and Chamber Business Expo.

Committees - The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce has numerous in-house committees which work in a variety of different areas of expertise. By joining a committee, Chamber Members not only assist the Chamber with goals and objectives, but are able to network with fellow committee members. Committees include Provincial/Federal Government Affairs, Municipal Government Affairs, Economic Development and Ambassador Committee.

Golf Tournament - Each year in August, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Golf Tournament. This is an extremely popular event that sells out in a matter of days. This event is designed to encourage networking among Chamber members.

Summer Biz Bash - Every June, the Chamber hosts its Annual Member Appreciation. Chamber Members are invited to visit the Chamber and network with fellow members and potential members. The very relaxed atmosphere for this event is a great opportunity for networking.
