The opportunity:
Dr. J. Chan and Dr. M. Flood, Orthopaedic Surgeons, located in Fredericton, NB are looking for a permanent full-time medical office administrator to join their team.
This opportunity is meant for an individual who has experience working as a medical office administrator within a specialty health care setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, and preparing exam rooms for the next
- Ensures exam rooms are stocked
- Answers inquiries by phone and in person in a helpful, respectful and efficient
- Manages and maintains appointment
- Manages incoming/outgoing
- Manages and processes patient
- Maintains electronic medical record via EMR
- Processes faxes
- Ensures patient
- Cleans and sterilizes materials and instruments, as
- Coordinates with hospital staff for scheduling of operating room
- Performs billing procedures and collects non-insured fees where
- Orders and receives office and medical
- Prepares and processes clinic
- Performs all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as
Working Conditions & Location:
The medical office administrator position requires availability to work on-site from Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day (excluding evenings, weekends, and STAT holidays).
The team within the clinic consists of a total of 6 orthopedic surgeons and their respective support staff. The clinic is located at 1113 Regent St, Fredericton, NB.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with a computer (including using the internet, electronic medical record, and MS Office software).
