Porter O’Brien is a comprehensive consulting agency with services in public relations, management strategy, marketing, government affairs, market research and media training. Headquartered in historic downtown Fredericton, New Brunswick, we have employees based at our head office as well as working virtually in other locations. Our market focus has been mostly the Maritime provinces, but recent growth and staffing additions have fostered development in other provinces and the United States.
We are currently seeking to hire a Business Development Associate to continue to drive this market expansion. This exciting opportunity will be responsible for ensuring the agency delivers on its number one key result area: excellence in client service.
Our key candidate will be highly organized and committed to going above and beyond for their clients. This role will serve as the first representative of the company to potential clients so they must be competent and professional communicators (both speaking and listening) confident in dealing with all levels of business, and well-versed in the sales life cycle with tons of experience in closing deals.
If you thrive in an autonomous working environment while prioritizing many tasks at once to ensure the trains run on time, then this role is a fit for you. We are looking for experience in proposal writing, project management, marketing, sales and/or business development so you can hit the ground running.
Our key service delivery areas are public relations, management strategy, marketing, government affairs, market research and media training. It would be considered an asset if you have expertise or on the ground experience in one of those areas.
Compensation will be dependent on the candidate’s experience and will be based on a combination of salary and commission. We also offer a comprehensive group health, dental and life insurance policy for our team.
