Full Time – 12 Month Contract
Canada is set to welcome thousands of displaced Ukrainians in the year ahead through its special measure, Canadian-Ukrainian Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) as well as family reunification measures. NBMC is seeking a Lead Coordinator to ensure consistent, cohesive, and informative communication and resource sharing to all its members and partners on all matters related to this initiative for our province.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing documentation, note taking and follow-ups relevant meetings, including but not limited to national, provincial and/or regional meetings and stakeholder engagements:
Central outreach to Ukrainian associations and community groups across NB to filter questions, concerns, requests for support;
Monitor news and social media for relevant posts and articles, help promote, monitor and connect fundraisers, events, calls for volunteers, etc.;
Act as a clearinghouse for incoming requests on donations, offers of volunteer support and housing offers – establish guidelines and communication support for donation management;
Collect feedback and work with settlement sector on related needs and concerns with regards to Ukrainian settlement – support advocacy efforts with provincial and federal partners to address service gaps
Create and conduct surveys with Ukrainian nationals in New Brunswick on their settlement and workplace experiences, gather input and make recommendations on areas of improvement;
Create impact stories and showcase success stories and/or ongoing challenges from across the province;
Coordinate information sharing, collection of resources relevant to government or sector partners, make them available on the NBMC website;
Coordinate the translation of information from French/English to Ukrainian and Russian and vice versa;
