Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an engineer with experience in mechanical design. You will lead mechanical engineering projects for new and existing products and will be reporting to the R&D Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Creating 2D & 3D detailed design drawings of components and products
Participating in design reviews, testing and introduction of new products and product derivatives
Create, perform and evaluate QA/QC inspections and tests to ensure product quality meets internal and compliance standards
Sourcing and interaction with vendors to obtain component quotations and specifications; maintenance of bill of materials
Project management and weekly progress reports
Maintain the accuracy of the master documentation and digital filing systems for multiple products
Deliver on project schedules and on aggressive timelines
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design is preferred
A diploma or degree in a Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering program, and/or related experience in a similar field
Good working knowledge of 3D modelling software
Knowledge of design for manufacturing and assembly
Experience with machining and fabrication considered a plus
Must have deep sense of initiative, results oriented, and pro-active with little supervision required
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a timely manner
