Who we are?

avenueNB Cooperative is a new innovative non-profit organization incorporated in April 2022. Our role is to manage the delivery of employment services for persons with a disability in New Brunswick. Receiving long-term core funding from the Government of New Brunswick through the Canada – New Brunswick Workforce Development Agreement, avenueNB oversees the contract management of its 23 member agencies. Our role is to ensure persons with a disability and employers have equitable access to employment services and supports. We coordinate professional development for member agencies, promote communication and outreach, develop intersectional partnerships as well as monitor and evaluate programs and services to ensure quality results and accountability.

What you will do:
• Prepare payment for vendors, contract holders, and other company invoices.
• Use computerized bookkeeping systems to keep, maintain and balance financial records (QuickBooks) with charter of accounts.
• Prepare monthly bank and visa reconciliations.  
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Prepare and issue T4’s and Records of Employment when required;
• Work with vendors, contract holders to reconcile accounts and payments.
• Assist management with budget reporting for various funding requirements.
• Support with day-to-day banking and cash flow management.
• Assist with year-end audit.
• Complete and file payroll remittances, HST, workers’ compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
• Oversee all financial operations, provide support and recommendation to management on process and efficiencies.
Who you are:

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Bookkeeping or Accounting Business College Diploma or related post-secondary training.
2-3 years experience as a bookkeeper.
Experience with Quickbooks, business online banking and Microsoft Office
Experience working with non-profit organizations and multiple funding streams, annual fiscal reporting and working with auditors.
